Retail Shop Supervisor | Temporary Position | Full and Part-time Hours Available | Competitive Hourly Rate

Our client is a prominent multi-charity retailer, dedicated to selling cards and gifts on behalf of numerous UK charities, including well-known organizations. Over the past decade, they have successfully raised significant funds for various charitable causes.

Each year, the organization facilitates the establishment of a national network of seasonal pop-up shops, and this role is essential in supporting that network to optimize revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all operational aspects of the retail outlet.
  • Recruit, manage, and support shop volunteers to enhance sales and revenue for the charities involved.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow shop managers to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Achieve sales targets while driving profitability for the shop.
  • Manage the shop setup, including processing deliveries and addressing discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with the Regional Manager on shop layout and ensure merchandising equipment is arranged as per plans.
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels, replenishing as necessary and coordinating with the Regional Manager for stock requests.
  • Implement and train volunteers on the EPOS system.
  • Handle cash management, including reconciling EPOS and banking procedures.
  • Identify volunteer recruitment needs and initiate recruitment campaigns in collaboration with the Regional Manager.
  • Cover shifts as needed in the absence of volunteers.
  • Assist the marketing team in activities aimed at promoting the shop and the organization within the community.
  • Manage staff rotas to ensure the shop operates within its designated hours.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Support additional tasks that contribute to the effective operation of the shop and team.
