Position Overview

This position is crucial for ensuring that all necessary resources and materials are available to meet project timelines and contractual obligations. The successful candidate will effectively oversee senior and site engineers, possessing a strong background in cost management and forecasting. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing and adhering to inspection and testing protocols as well as quality assurance checklists.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service while protecting the company's interests, fostering repeat business through strong relationship management and clear communication regarding costs, variations, health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) standards.
  • Collaborating with the commercial team to forecast and monitor costs, ensuring financial targets are achieved and managing project expenditures within the initial budget parameters.
  • Ensuring effective performance management across all teams to deliver projects efficiently while maintaining HSEQ standards in accordance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Meeting project timelines and contributing to the updates of the project schedule to align with contractual and tender specifications.
  • Coordinating with the site team to guarantee that appropriate resources are deployed effectively.
  • Delivering the contractual schedule and creating lookahead programmes for site teams.
  • Working closely with the commercial team on cost management, variations, and change control processes.
  • Preparing and ensuring adherence to inspection and testing plans along with quality assurance checklists.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

We invite candidates who can demonstrate a commitment to excellent HSEQ standards and have experience in preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and Work Package Plans (WPPs). A valid SMSTS certification and a degree in Civil Engineering are essential, alongside a minimum of five years of relevant civil engineering experience.

Candidates should possess experience in both short-term and long-term planning and programming, with expertise in change management. A proven history of delivering projects in accordance with specifications and contractual drawings, along with a solid grasp of programme contract administration, is required.

Additionally, a full UK driving licence is mandatory.
