We are seeking a highly skilled Research Assistant/Associate to join our team at the University of Glasgow's School of Infection and Immunity. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to UKRI-funded projects and work alongside a talented team of researchers.
The successful candidate will be embedded with Dr. Chris Illingworth's team and will collaborate with other researchers to develop mathematical and statistical approaches to better understand virus infection, evolution, and transmission.
The School of Infection and Immunity provides a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment, integrating computational, experimental, and clinical research. As a Research Assistant/Associate, you will have the opportunity to build strong links with researchers from other disciplines and contribute to cutting-edge projects.
Some key areas of research in our group include:
- Modelling viral spread across cells, organisms, and populations
- Combining genomic and epidemiological data to understand viral transmission
- Developing mathematical approaches to enhance preparedness for outbreaks and epidemics
