The Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) is a leading public corporation responsible for ensuring the safe and secure operation of nuclear sites. As a Nuclear Protective Security Inspector, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our nuclear industry.

The Role

In this exciting and challenging position, you will be responsible for regulating security across the civil nuclear industry, ensuring that duty holders comply with legislation and that operations are safe and secure. This will involve assessing security plans, conducting site visits, and providing expert advice to stakeholders.

The Person

We are seeking a highly experienced protective security practitioner with a good honours degree, an accredited Level 6 qualification or equivalent in a security subject, and membership of a relevant professional institution. You should have a strong background in risk management and be an expert in two of the following areas: personnel security, policing and guarding, or emergency preparedness and response.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £68,954 - £79,219 (plus £4,052 London Weighting Allowance if applicable) and a substantial Civil Service Pension scheme. You will also be eligible for generous holiday entitlement and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team.
