About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional to join our team at Westland Horticulture Ltd as a Territory Sales Manager. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building and developing customer relationships in the horticultural retail channel, driving in-store distribution through existing and new business.

Main Responsibilities
  • Strengthen existing customer relationships with around 130 retailers, varying from garden centres, country stores, pet shops, and hardware stores.
  • Identify key levers for sustainable growth opportunities and increase distribution of our brands through new customers.
  • Develop prospecting strategies to identify our biggest opportunities and develop promotional strategies specific to the retailer network to ensure we are maximising our return on investment and driving incremental growth.
  • Achieve specific annual sales targets and NPD targets as requested.
  • Produce weekly call reports as requested and develop strong relationships with store managers in the territory and identify key areas of opportunity.
  • Drive in-store excellence through POS and merchandising to ensure our products have maximum presence in store and deliver in-store training to customers on our product ranges and brands to drive mutual retailer growth.
Requirements
  • Previous sales/field sales experience within gardening retail, horticulture, DIY, or the pet industry.
  • Confident with excellent client-facing skills and ability to learn in a fast-paced job.
  • Strong communicator with excellent customer service skills, organised, and proactive.
  • B2B sales experience, self-motivated, team player, and KPI-driven.
  • Microsoft knowledge.
