Job Title: Part-time Casual Catering Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Part-time Casual Catering Assistant to join our team at an established College in Oxford City Centre.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work as part of the Hall team to provide exceptional levels of service to our customers, including Fellows, students, staff, and conference delegates. The role will involve working a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, to ensure the smooth operation of our dining hall.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with food preparation and presentation, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with the Hall team to maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, including conferences and functions.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the smooth operation of the dining hall.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality or catering environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Basic food safety and hygiene knowledge, with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
