Job Purpose

The Corporate IT Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of our Digital Workplace service. This role will involve providing technical support to employees, managing our Microsoft Azure tenancy, and acting as the engagement lead with third parties for technical and security-related matters.

The ideal candidate will have a strategic and hands-on approach, with the ability to develop long-term technical plans, drive continuous improvement, and maximize the benefit of our Microsoft technology. They will be customer-focused, ensuring end-users are at the heart of our thinking across all key services, delivering excellent end-user experiences.

Key Accountabilities

The Corporate IT Manager will be responsible for:

  • Providing general support to teams (20%);
  • Management of Corporate IT (Infrastructure, Cloud computing, and end-user computing), driving continuous improvements, ensuring we are up to date with critical security patches, and support of future IT needs (50%);
  • Technical leadership with 3rd parties and project support (30%);
Responsibilities

The Corporate IT Manager will be responsible for:

  • Providing desktop support for end-users, resolving hardware and software issues;
  • Configuring and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, and mobile devices;
  • Managing and supporting our M365 tenancy, including Microsoft 365 tenancy administration, Entra ID management, Intune device management, and Azure technical administration;
  • Managing and monitoring Azure cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance and security;
  • Working with 3rd parties to respond to cyber-related threats or incidents;
  • Managing and supporting our corporate IT infrastructure, including endpoint security management, development, and application of access policies and controls;
  • Monitoring key events across our systems and infrastructure, ensuring cyber threats are mitigated, incidents are managed to closure, and reporting on product usage across the estate;
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Insight into the organisation relating to current industry and technology trends and innovation, helping to shape future IT technology roadmaps;
  • Proven experience in Microsoft 365 technical administration related roles;
  • Certifications in Microsoft 365 administration (across any number of core components outlined) are highly desirable;
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services: cloud computing, networking, and security;
  • Understanding and/or experience working with other cloud-based services – e.g. Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS);
  • Corporate IT physical infrastructure knowledge;
  • Knowledge and experience of working with building Access Control systems is highly desirable;
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Customer-focused mindset, with an ability to think systematically across technology domains that deliver ensure services and experiences;
  • Strong commercial and technical partner management experience;
  • Ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders across different organisations to act as the liaison between the business, other technical communities, and the 3rd party delivery teams to ensure the delivery of the business requirements;
  • Ability to partner with technical and business teams to identify solutions and quick resolutions to problems, enabling business outcomes to be achieved;
  • Strong relationship building, collaboration, and influencing skills;
