Job Title: Field Operations Director

Location: UK Sites

Job Summary:

Linxon is seeking a highly experienced professional to lead our field project delivery function for our UK sites. As a Field Operations Director, you will be responsible for leading a site and construction management team to deliver a portfolio of projects from the proposal phase through project execution and successful closing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Demonstrate visible safety, environmental, and sustainability leadership, setting the tone for all our project delivery teams.
  • Project Execution: Accountable for the construction execution, completion, and handing over of the works for all project sites in coordination with the project management team.
  • Contingency Planning: Support the project team to implement contingency plans for all events that can potentially lead to a change in the project construction schedule.
  • Team Management: Manage the portfolio site team, creating an atmosphere of cooperation, alignment, and team spirit to facilitate the smooth execution of the project on all Linxon sites.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all customer safety management requirements, company systems, applicable laws, and regulations.
  • Site Management: Provide management, guidance, and coordination of site construction multi-discipline teams and sub-contractors to ensure safe and successful completion of the project site.
  • Commissioning and Completion: Direct the formation of the commissioning & completion teams and ensure that they are well-equipped to achieve safe completion and commissioning on all Linxon sites.
  • Risk Management: Responsible for assessing field construction and operations risks and ensuring mitigation from pre-construction to completion and commissioning phases of the projects.
  • Culture and Ethics: Foster a culture of integrity and adherence to the highest ethical standards by creating appropriate awareness and understanding of Linxon's Code of Conduct at all levels of project delivery organisation.
  • Monitoring and Leadership: Monitor & lead the field Engineering, construction, and commissioning teams from the early construction phase through to completion and close out of projects.
  • Stakeholder Management: Be the primary point of contact for the internal stakeholders and customers regarding all aspects of projects' construction.
  • Support and Development: Support project teams in meeting the construction and completion execution objectives of individual projects.
  • Site Visits: Perform regular visits to project construction sites.
  • Resource Planning: Develop the resource plan for the field construction and completion. Coach and mentor construction management staff.
  • Professional Development: Plan and encourage professional development of construction management staff to increase project delivery capabilities, consistent with the highest international standards and industry best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement of project field completion management systems to enhance Linxon site performance.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with Linxon policies, standard operating procedures, and customer requirements. Perform robust, effective, and efficient project reviews. Produce regular reports per company policies and standard operating procedures.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Extensive experience in delivering construction, commissioning, and field completion EPC of substation projects.
  • Background: Good amount of years of experience as field completion and commissioning management for a substation project.
  • Skills: Must have strong construction awareness and understanding of the internationally recognised project management standards.
  • Risk Management: Must have strong risk awareness and risk management skills.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management from an accredited institution.
