About the Role

People Solutions Group is seeking a skilled and reliable Class 2 Driver to join our client's waste management operation in East Lothian. This role offers competitive pay, regular hours, and the opportunity for long-term employment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle to transport and collect skips filled with commercial and household waste.
  • Efficiently tip waste at designated locations.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your assigned vehicle.
  • Ensure all cargo is securely loaded and unloaded, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.

What We're Looking For

  • A valid UK Category C Driving Licence.
  • A current CPC and DIGI card.
  • Proven experience driving Class 2 vehicles, including four, six, or eight-wheelers.
  • Experience operating skip lorries or tippers is highly desirable.
