We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Support Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. As a Pharmacy Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective pharmacy support to the dispensary and adult wards within the Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Dispense prescriptions for inpatients, outpatients, day patients, and patients waiting for discharge.
- Perform duties concerned with the control of pharmaceutical stocks in the dispensary, ensuring that appropriate stock levels are maintained, expired stock is removed, and stock problems are resolved quickly and efficiently.
- Act as an Accredited Checking Technician for final accuracy checks of dispensed medication as required to ensure safe and accurate dispensing within the pharmacy dispensary.
- Collaborate with the Senior Technician to ensure the smooth operation of the dispensary and to resolve any stock-related issues.
