Design Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Manager to join our team at Recra Consulting. As a Design Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and engineering processes in a steel fabrication company, leading a team of designers, drafters, and engineers to ensure accurate and efficient design development.
Key Responsibilities- Design Strategy and Implementation: Develop and implement design strategies to meet project goals, industry standards, and client specifications.
- Team Leadership: Manage a team of designers, drafters, and engineers, assigning tasks and providing guidance to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Project Coordination: Oversee the creation and modification of engineering and fabrication drawings using appropriate software and tools, delegating tasks and designs across the team.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to design standards, codes, and regulations, maintaining high-quality work and attention to detail.
- Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, maintaining effective communication and relationships with project managers, production teams, and clients.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in design management within the steel fabrication industry, with proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, SolidWorks).
- Skills: Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes, codes, and design standards, excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills, ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
