Job Description

Job Title: Applications Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to join our team at Finning. As an Applications Engineer, you will play a key role in providing technical expertise and support to our customers, ensuring that their technical requirements are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical advice and support to customers on the cost and feasibility of proposed solutions.
  • Supply technical knowledge and designs through precise calculations and detailed drawings.
  • Engage directly with customers to address engineering and technical inquiries.
  • Advise management and depot managers on project-specific purchases and specialized cross-rent options to meet customer needs effectively.
  • Provide engineering advice and support to develop and enhance product applications.
  • Prepare and hand over detailed project documentation and specifications to the Depot Team.
  • Project Management is always the responsibility of the respective Depot Manager, but you may be requested to provide Project Management support from time to time.
  • Ensure that specified projects are appropriately evaluated with regard to technical performance.
  • Ensure that all work is properly administered in accordance with Energyst policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering or Apprentice to HND level or significant industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of engines and engine installations.
  • Experience in design, development, and validation of components.
  • Experience in presenting solutions in customer-facing meetings.
  • Ability to undertake detailed on-site test work.
