About the Role
As a Learning Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our Schools & Communities team. You'll be dedicated to enhancing and delivering our engaging onsite school visit program.
Your primary responsibility will involve interacting with teachers who inquire about booking school visits to our various sites. You'll provide exceptional customer service, answering their questions comprehensively and efficiently. A thorough understanding of the educational programs offered at each site is essential for this role.
Collaboration is key in this position. You'll work closely with colleagues across different departments within the organization to ensure seamless coordination and a positive experience for visiting schools.
Your duties may also include front-of-house responsibilities at our Clore Learning Centre, such as greeting school groups upon arrival and assisting with events during school holidays or occasional weekends. You'll contribute to the success of visits across various sites, including the Tower of London and Kensington Palace.
You'll receive guidance and support from our Deputy Operations Manager and a team of dedicated Learning Assistants.
What We Seek
We are looking for an individual with proven experience in delivering exceptional customer service within a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. Your background should also demonstrate proficiency in office administration tasks.
Strong IT skills are essential, including proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Familiarity with databases that comply with GDPR regulations would be highly advantageous, as you'll be working with our school booking system.
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities are crucial for managing our busy email accounts and effectively handling the demands of a dynamic school visit program. You must be adaptable and capable of resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
Excellent communication skills are paramount, enabling you to interact confidently with teachers through various channels—email, in person, and over the telephone. A keen attention to detail is essential for ensuring accuracy in all your tasks.
Prior knowledge of school curriculums or an understanding of teachers' needs and concerns when planning school visits would be beneficial. A genuine interest in working with schools and educators is highly valued.
This role involves interacting with young people and will therefore require a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at enhanced level.
