Our Balfour Beatty Highways division presents an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will collaborate with the Commercial Team to oversee all financial aspects related to our projects.

  • Work in partnership with the project team, clients, and our supply chain to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
  • Manage commercial aspects, including forecasting and contributing to monthly Cost Value Reports (CVR), as well as cost and commercial planning.
  • Share responsibility with the project team for commercial performance, ensuring adherence to commercial processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Engage the supply chain appropriately, in accordance with Balfour Beatty governance and relevant contract terms.
  • Assist in managing the commercial team, including cost clerks and support staff.
  • Facilitate effective communication between the commercial team and operational site teams, while supervising and mentoring Quantity Surveyors.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Membership in RICS, ICES, or CIOB.
  • A valid UK Driving License.
  • Experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, or highways projects is advantageous.
  • Reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the base location.
