Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and restore highway infrastructures, including concrete and structural steel elements, welding, expansion joints, carpentry, and painting as necessary.
  • Establish and dismantle safe Maintenance of Traffic control by implementing traffic management devices.
  • Repair and uphold bridge and culvert slopes, berms, drains, and related structures.
  • Manage vegetation appearance and growth utilizing various tools and equipment.
  • Maintain bridge fender systems, including navigational signage and lighting installations.
  • Transport crew and equipment to work locations using specialized vehicles.
  • Be prepared for emergency response duties as required.
Essential Requirements:
  • Proven expertise in structures maintenance.
  • Adhere to safe work practices to mitigate accidents.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Preferred one year of experience in construction, maintenance, and repair.
  • CDL, DOT certifications, along with Electrical and Welding Certifications are highly valued.
  • Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record is required.
Work Environment:
  • Regularly engage in various physical activities.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Exposed to outdoor weather conditions and potentially hazardous materials.
