About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Gardener to join our team at Hanbury Hall, a stunning country estate in Worcestershire. As a key member of our gardening team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of horticulture and ensuring the garden is safe and enjoyable for visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily checks to ensure the garden is safe and secure
  • Perform routine tasks such as weeding, pruning, and mulching
  • Operate machinery such as hedge cutters, leaf blowers, strimmers, lawnmowers, and tractors
  • Assist with propagation, cutting flowers for the house, and preparing plants for sale
  • Work in the park, tree safety, and garden design and restoration
  • Contribute to recycling and waste management efforts

Requirements

  • Knowledgeable about plants and horticulture
  • Experience with machinery and maintenance
  • Full driving license
  • Ability to manage a demanding outdoor role
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Trained as a professional gardener or horticulturist with a good level of practical experience
  • RHS level 2 qualified or equivalent
