Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Operations Engineer to join our client's team in Cheshire. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for the development, review, and delivery of turn-key projects, engineering specifications, and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development, review, and delivery of turn-key projects, engineering specifications, and deliverables.
  • Participate in the specification, evaluation, and selection of vendor packages and plant equipment.
  • Design and develop mechanical works, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Maintain the required technical quality of work, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Support existing operations and commissioning teams, remotely and on-site, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Participate in factory, site, and performance acceptance testing to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent qualification.
  • Incorporated (desirable) with a professional engineering institution.
  • Experience in specifying pipework, pressure vessels, mechanical items, valves, plant equipment, and materials of construction.
  • Strong understanding of process requirements and ability to interpret P&IDs.
  • Working knowledge of ASME, ASTM, ISO, MSS, and EU standards relating to process pipework.
  • Experience using AutoCAD 2D or equivalent.
