Job Title: Trainee Flexographic Printer

Our client, a leading Labels manufacturing company based just outside of Cambridge, is seeking a Trainee Flexographic Printer to join their team.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a passion for print and a willingness to learn and develop their skills in the Labels industry. As a Trainee Flexographic Printer, you will be trained to operate Flexographic Printing equipment and will be responsible for:

  • Following all safety procedures in operating equipment and performing job duties
  • Operating Flexographic Printing equipment according to procedures and job specifications
  • Daily productivity responsibility ensuring that individual schedule and targets set are achieved
  • Responsibility for cleanliness and general maintenance of equipment used in the process
  • Relaying information through the Specification sheet on how jobs are produced and exactly what settings are required to repeat the process
  • Working with Shift Supervisor to continually improve quality, processes and production efficiencies
  • Advising the Shift Supervisor if any tooling is not performing as well as is expected so that, if necessary, replacements can be purchased
  • Ensuring job set up in most efficient time using minimal ink and materials
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop team working and problem-solving
  • PC literacy
  • Ability to build effective relationships with work colleagues
  • Able to achieve results by setting high standards and committing to clear objectives
Working Hours:

The role will involve working a one week rotating shift pattern, with shifts from 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm, Monday to Friday.Salary:

The salary for this role is £30,000-£32,000 per annum.
