Job Title: Assistant Engineer

Calco Services is seeking an experienced Assistant Engineer to join our team on the HS2 project. As an Assistant Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the Earthworks Engineering Lead in the production of strategies, models, and drawings related to earthworks, landscaping, and drainage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conception and creation of methodology for earthworks and drainage
  • Ensuring compliance of the design with requirements
  • 3D modeling of earthworks, landscaping, and temporary drainage using Civil 3D
  • Producing relevant 2D drawings for the team's needs
  • Material quantities calculation using 3D models in Civil 3D
  • Stockpile design and movement planning with Civil 3D and Excel
Requirements:
  • Proficient and autonomous in Civil 3D
  • Good knowledge of reading technical plans and extracting relevant information from 2D drawings and 3D models
  • Attention to detail to create accurate drawings
  • Experience in BIM environment and GIS processes

As an Assistant Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Earthworks Engineering Lead in the production of strategies, models, and drawings related to earthworks, landscaping, and drainage. You will work closely with the team to ensure that the design is compliant with requirements and that the 3D models are accurate and up-to-date.
