Overview of the Role
We are seeking a Commercial Operations Specialist to contribute to BT Group.
In this role, you will oversee contract and supplier management for Power & Cooling Infrastructure projects, managing an annual budget exceeding £100 million. Your focus will be on ensuring optimal supplier performance and governance, maximizing the contractual benefits for BT Group.
This position is a fixed-term contract lasting 11 months and can be performed from either Birmingham or Bristol.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluating and enhancing new supplier contractual agreements
- Facilitating supplier onboarding post-contract signing
- Implementing supplier tiering strategies
- Monitoring contract finances
- Managing contract stock levels
- Conducting risk assessments
- Performing contract audits
- Leading category reviews
- Organizing and executing operational review meetings
- Managing amendments and addendums to contracts
- Tracking and responding to contractual SLAs and KPIs
- Resolving invoice disputes
- Promoting supplier development initiatives
- Creating or updating SLAs and KPIs as necessary
- Overseeing supplier off-boarding processes
Required Qualifications
MANDATORY
- At least 1 year of experience in a commercial role
- Experience working with multi-stakeholder teams
- Intermediate knowledge of contractual terminology and its practical application
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated commercial awareness
- Effective communication skills across various interaction platforms
- Proven ability to identify, monitor, and resolve issues with diverse stakeholders
- Capability to build and maintain strong relationships
