Job Title: Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience, you will play a vital role in supporting a pupil with special educational needs in a local mainstream primary school in Bournemouth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for the pupil.
  • Provide one-on-one support to children with special educational needs, fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to assess and address the unique needs of the pupil.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally with SEN experience, or similar roles supporting challenging behaviour/needs.
  • Understanding of diverse learning needs and effective strategies for support.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with special needs.
