Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant SEN

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and supportive Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team at an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rated SEN School in Christchurch, Dorset. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced teachers to provide individualized support to pupils with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to pupils with SEN, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring a fun and engaging learning environment.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the creation of a calm and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people, preferably in a SEN setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, understanding, and a willingness to develop.

Contract Details:

  • Location: Christchurch, Dorset.
  • Position: Primary Teaching Assistant (SEN).
  • Contract Type: Long Term / Permanent.
  • Duration / Likely Duration: Ongoing.
  • Full time/part time: Full Time.
  • Minimum rate of pay: £400-450 per week.
