The Role: Income Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Income Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the efficient management of income collection and arrears recovery for our properties.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a comprehensive income management service to customers, maximizing income collection and effectively managing cases through the court process.
  • Ensure compliance with pre-action protocols and lead on eviction procedures in accordance with One Manchester's policies and guidelines.
  • Directly manage a designated portfolio of properties throughout the income collection process.
  • Assist customers in establishing repayment arrangements and take responsibility for managing court-escalated arrears.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in income collection, debt recovery, and credit control.
  • A track record of exceeding KPIs and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong motivation and the ability to manage multiple monthly KPIs effectively.
  • In-depth understanding of relevant legislation pertaining to possession hearings, procedures, and pre-action protocols for debt management and court case presentation.
  • Knowledge of the Welfare Benefits system and the ability to provide guidance and referrals to internal/external agencies.
  • Proficiency in IT systems.
  • A valid driving license.
