Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Planner/Buyer to join our team at GE Aviation. This role will be responsible for overseeing the purchase of materials and managing items out at vendor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Availability: Ensure that new and C-Class material is available to support engine and third-party kit dates.
  • Vendor Management: Solicit and evaluate new material/vendor repair proposals to support business, conduct cost and price analysis in accordance with GE Aviation sourcing policy, utilizing available expertise from supporting organizations.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Act as single point of contact with assigned suppliers & vendors, customer cells, and shop resolving any MDR's, invoice queries, and performance issues. Maintain and update supplier performance metrics ensuring that they are available for monthly business review.
  • Production Support: Attend daily production meetings and action material supply issues as required and respond with solutions/answers.
  • Procurement Knowledge: Maintain familiarity and currency with GE Aviation procurement manual, sourcing policy, engine manuals, SI's, ERS's, SB's, AD's, and other relevant technical publications to support operations.
  • Sourcing Initiatives: Actively support and promote GE Aviation sourcing initiatives.
Requirements
  • Sourcing and Planning Experience: Proven experience in sourcing and planning.
  • Technical Knowledge: Technical knowledge and understanding of the aviation industry would be advantageous.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, diplomatic.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team Player: Team player; highly motivated, good presentation skills.
