About the Role

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team. As a Clinical Lead Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical leadership and guidance to our multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement treatment plans in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team (MDT)
  • Attend senior management team (SMT) morning handovers to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Assess referrals to determine suitability for admission and make informed decisions
  • Conduct thorough investigations, diagnoses, and treatments to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in ward rounds, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives to drive excellence in patient care
  • Chair and oversee Care Programme Approach (CPA) reviews to ensure comprehensive patient support
  • Lead the implementation of risk assessments and risk management strategies to ensure patient safety
  • Collaborate with external agencies to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Prepare and supervise various reports, including Mental Health Act tribunals and manager's reports, and attend hearings as required

Requirements

  • Full General Medical Council (GMC) registration
  • Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) or equivalent
  • Specialty Register for Forensic Psychiatry or General Psychiatry with forensic experience
  • Ability to lead and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Good Continuing Professional Development (CPD) standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists and recent appraisal
  • Approved Clinician (AC) and Section approval
