Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Site Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective coordination of construction field-level activities. This includes working closely with the Site Supervisor, contractors, and stakeholders to coordinate and oversee day-to-day activities to keep the project on track, safe, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Site Supervisor in coordinating construction activities, equipment, and crew.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities at the site to ensure work is conducted according to drawings, specifications, and safety guidelines.
  • Manage and organize project plans, specifications, costs, material estimates, and subcontract-related reports.
  • Develop, monitor, and update construction work schedules.
  • Maintain accurate cost control plans through inputting daily completion units and material packing slips.
  • Coordinate the procurement of construction materials, ensuring timely deliveries and accurate purchase orders.
  • Arrange and conduct necessary construction field services.
  • Keep detailed Daily Project Reports using the application Site Docs and according to COR standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology/Technician with 2-3 years of related Canadian job site experience.
  • A strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and terminology is essential.
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards is also advantageous.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies is essential.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools (such as MS Office 365, Projects, Planswift, AutoCAD, etc.) can also be beneficial in effectively planning, organizing, and controlling project activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are vital for effective coordination and collaboration with project stakeholders, team members, and contractors.
  • Strong organizational skills are necessary to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and meet project deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and managing documentation and project files efficiently are crucial.
  • Minimum two years of active field experience.
  • Valid Ontario Driver's G license with clean abstract.
