Position Overview:
Priory Hospital Southampton is seeking a dedicated HR and Resourcing Lead to provide essential support and expertise to the management team. This role involves interpreting and implementing HR policies to ensure consistent employment practices across the site. You will serve as the primary contact for employees, managing HR workflows to guarantee accurate and timely administration of HR processes. The ideal candidate will be organized, deadline-oriented, and capable of presenting HR data to senior management as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment:
- Collaborate with senior management and department heads to identify effective strategies for attracting high-quality candidates.
- Coordinate with the Central Talent Acquisition team to establish recruitment methods.
- Ensure adherence to recruitment processes, facilitating timely candidate screening by appropriate managers.
- Oversee the onsite HR team, including a HR Administrator and Finance Administrator.
Onboarding:
- Partner with the Central Onboarding team to ensure efficient processing and onboarding of new hires.
- Maintain communication with candidates throughout the onboarding process to secure necessary documentation promptly.
Compliance & Training:
- Monitor and manage DBS and professional accreditation renewals throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Ensure all staff are compliant with mandatory training requirements, achieving site targets.
- Coordinate training sessions as needed and liaise with the Central Learning & Development team and external providers.
Employee Engagement & Retention:
- Facilitate completion of colleague engagement surveys to enhance response rates and employee satisfaction.
- Work with site management to implement action plans based on survey results.
- Collaborate with the Hospital Director to conduct regular meetings and ensure representation at local and regional gatherings.
- Conduct exit interviews with departing employees to identify trends and concerns.
Absence Management & Employee Relations:
- Ensure compliance with absence management policies for both short-term and long-term absences.
- Address high absence levels with management and conduct return-to-work interviews.
- Collaborate with the Regional HR team for guidance on absence-related issues.
- Provide advice in accordance with company policies, working closely with the Regional HR team as necessary.
Documentation & General Duties:
- Manage the onsite Resourcing & HR team.
- Maintain accurate records of employee documentation and personnel files.
- Assist with the administration of investigations, grievances, and other HR processes under Regional HR guidance.
- Take minutes during meetings when appropriate.
- Provide payroll cover as needed.
