Position Overview
This position is integral to the Corporate Finance division, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. The Financial Analyst will play a key role in enhancing data utilization by offering insights and recommendations on optimal analytical practices regarding historical and current financial performance, while also projecting future outcomes through trend analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and compile data across the organization to create monthly and quarterly consolidated reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for executive management.
- Develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that reflect the performance of the broader Finance department.
- Support the Corporate Finance team during both internal and external audits by preparing and submitting necessary data.
- Ensure accuracy by reconciling internal group and company data.
- Assist senior management with data analysis and reporting for various ad hoc requests, projects, and research initiatives.
- Provide analytical support and data assistance to Finance Business Partners as needed.
- Continuously seek enhancements to financial processes, controls, procedures, presentations, and reporting methodologies.
- Perform any additional duties relevant to the role as required.
Candidate Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Professional Accountancy Qualification (Fully Qualified with 2+ years of experience) - ACCA/CIMA/CA/ACA.
- Proven experience in a similar role, adept at organizing complex data into clear reports and conducting various analyses.
- Experience in preparing monthly management accounts, reconciliations, process enhancements, and audit participation.
- Strong communication skills with a history of effective teamwork, professional mentoring, and collaboration with the Finance team and key stakeholders.
- Experience in a dynamic commercial environment.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing demands and meet tight deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
