Job DescriptionJob Duties:
  • Deliver educational programmes under the guidance of teachers, ensuring a high standard of education for students.
  • Support individual and small groups of students with their learning activities, promoting academic achievement and personal growth.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment, fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Prepare and organise educational materials and resources, ensuring they are accessible and engaging for students.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and performance, contributing to the development of effective teaching strategies.
  • Supervise students during break times and off-site activities, promoting their safety and well-being.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, demonstrating a strong foundation in core subjects.
  • Recognised Teaching Assistant qualification, showcasing expertise in education support.
Education:

Further education in relevant subjects is desirable, enhancing the candidate's knowledge and skills in education.

Experience:

Prior experience working in a school setting as a Teaching Assistant, demonstrating a proven track record of success in education support.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of the national curriculum and educational policies, ensuring alignment with current educational standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • First Aid certification, enhancing the candidate's ability to respond to emergencies.
  • Experience working with special educational needs students, demonstrating a commitment to inclusivity and diversity.
Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, interacting with students, teachers, and parents. The job may require some flexibility in working hours to accommodate school schedules and activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
