About the Role

CK Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join their team at their site in Cornwall. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary up to £50,000 per annum.

About the Company

Our client is a leading supplier of mineral-based specialty solutions, delivering high-value-added, functional solutions to various sectors, including processing industries and consumer goods. The company leverages its understanding of applications, technological knowledge, and expertise in material science to deliver solutions by beneficiating its mineral resources, synthetic minerals, and formulations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead Scale-Up and De-Risking Activities: Plan and organize work programmes, facilitate change, and drive execution within the Refinery Scale-Up team.
  • Commercial Design of Refinery Process: Leverage internal expertise and third-party equipment/technology suppliers to design the refinery process.
  • Technical Risk Management: Maintain a technical risk register, specify and execute trials and test work, and incorporate findings into the process design to reduce technical risk.
  • Production of Improvement Capital Requests: Manage the production of improvement capital requests and project management for the implementation of improvement capital projects.
  • Key Process Technology Expert: Provide regular input to business decision-making in the presence of company Directors and senior stakeholders, requiring timely preparation and delivery of compelling and robust reports and presentations.
  • Execution of Process Scale-Up Programmes: Drive the creation of analytical and process data to develop robust understandings of chemical processes, maintaining a robust culture of intellectual property development and capture.
About You

The ideal candidate will have a degree-level qualification in process/chemical engineering, experience working in mineral processing, knowledge of process scale-up to pilot plant, leadership experience, and working knowledge of process design for mineral and chemical processes.
