As a vital member of the healthcare team, you will operate under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, collaborating with various professionals to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in the upkeep and management of medical apparatus and clinical tools, which includes cleaning, delivering equipment to families, and maintaining precise records.
2. Take charge of procuring medical and surgical supplies, ensuring proper storage and organization.
3. Uphold a safe working atmosphere.
4. Comply with infection control protocols established by the Trust.
5. Aid in preparing patients and equipment for treatments, assessments, or procedures as directed by a Registered Nurse.
6. Accompany patients to various clinical departments or NHS units under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
7. Provide support to family members under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Detailed Job Responsibilities
1. Execute the directives of the Registered Nurse promptly and accurately, who is accountable for the care provided.
2. Perform tasks as outlined in the Trust's approved core task list for Healthcare Support roles.
3. Report any patient concerns or changes in clinical status to registered staff immediately.
4. Support the emotional well-being of patients through meaningful interactions.
5. Document all patient care activities accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with Trust systems.
6. Respond effectively to clinical emergencies, ensuring patients receive the necessary care and support.
7. Adhere to all Trust policies, procedures, and nursing guidelines during all activities.
8. Participate in the patient admission process under the supervision of registered staff.
9. Deliver high-quality, individualized personal nursing care.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Minimum of GCSE Grade 5 in English and Mathematics or equivalent qualifications.
- Completion of the Care Certificate or equivalent healthcare experience.
Desirable:
- City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Care/Health and Social Care.
- City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Child Care/Child Development.
Experience

- Prior experience in a nursing or care assistant capacity.
