Job Summary:

Milk Education is seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Administrator to join our team. As a Health and Safety Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our school complies with all health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Health and Safety Policies: Create and implement health and safety policies in line with current legislation, ensuring compliance and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments: Conduct regular risk assessments across the school premises, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Monitor and Record Health and Safety Incidents: Monitor and record health and safety incidents, ensuring accurate documentation and timely reporting to relevant authorities.
  • Coordinate Health and Safety Training: Coordinate and deliver health and safety training sessions for staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Oversee Emergency Procedures: Oversee emergency procedures, including fire drills and first aid protocols, ensuring that staff are prepared to respond to emergencies effectively.
  • Liaise with External Agencies: Liaise with external agencies and inspectors to ensure compliance with health and safety standards, maintaining a positive and collaborative relationship with regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a health and safety role, ideally within an educational setting, with a strong understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to train and inform staff on safety protocols, ensuring that health and safety is a top priority.
  • Commitment to Safeguarding: A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, with a strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
