Job Role

The Rapid Assessment and Resettlement Practitioner will be responsible for welcoming street homeless clients and those threatened with homelessness into temporary accommodation. They will link into relevant support services and specialists to create a pathway into longer-term housing, such as the private sector. The role will also involve maintaining the accommodation and preparing meals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Work with service users to assess, design, and implement Resettlement Plans and Personal Housing Plans to maximize individual opportunity and development.
  2. Collaborate with Specialist Coordinators and Housing Coordinators to develop and deliver service users' Personal Housing Plans and other homelessness duties.
  3. Ensure all service users' documentation is relevant and updated, and that data is accurately entered into various IT systems.
  4. Establish and develop effective working relationships with service users, providing practical assistance and support to meet their needs and requirements.
  5. Work effectively to meet the aims, objectives, and targets of the Team, Street Homelessness Service, and wider Sustainable Housing/Housing Advisory Service.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable populations, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also have a strong understanding of homelessness and resettlement issues, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders.
