Assistant Psychologist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our team in the S-CAMHS service at Hywel Dda University Health Board. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing clinical services to children and young people with mental health difficulties, working closely with our Clinical Psychologists and other multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical sessions for Partnership work within the locality team, working with young people and their families.
- Carry a clinical caseload and develop skills in a range of psychological approaches, including CBT, ACT, and systemic.
- Support the Clinical Psychologist working with Care Experienced Children within S-CAMHS, across the South of the Health Board footprint.
- Assist with projects within Psychology in S-CAMHS.

Requirements
- A degree in Psychology and entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
- Experience of working as an Assistant Psychologist or similar role.
- Desirable: experience of working with children, young people, and their families, conducting psychometric assessments, and working within the NHS.
Language Skills
Welsh Speaker - Level 1 is desirable.
Working Arrangements
The post is based in Llanelli and requires the ability to travel around the Health Board footprint in a timely manner. The successful candidate will be required to work evenings and weekends, depending on the needs of the service.
