Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist to lead our Psychiatric Liaison Service at Whipps Cross University Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical input to high-risk cases, developing and implementing evidence-based psychological interventions, and leading a team of qualified psychologists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical input to high-risk cases, utilizing psychological theory and evidence-based practice.
- Develop and implement evidence-based psychological interventions, including assessment, formulation, and treatment planning.
- Lead a team of qualified psychologists, providing clinical supervision, guidance, and support.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless care pathways.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including service users, carers, and families.
- Contribute to the development of clinical policies and guidelines, ensuring adherence to best practice and evidence-based standards.
- Participate in audit and evaluation activities, ensuring continuous quality improvement.
- Provide education, training, and supervision to qualified psychologists and trainees, promoting high standards of care and professional development.
- Support the development of a positive and supportive team culture, promoting a culture of lifelong learning and professional growth.
Requirements:
- Doctoral level training in clinical psychology and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience of working in a trauma-informed evidence-based way with clients presenting with severe mental health difficulties, people in crisis, and carers, with significant levels of risk.
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary service context, including collaboration with psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of leading a team of qualified psychologists.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders, including service users, carers, and families.
- Ability to work autonomously, with a high degree of professionalism and accountability.
