Job Title: Education Support Assistant

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Support Assistant to join our team in a secondary school setting in Wandsworth. As an Education Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers in delivering lessons and providing one-on-one support to students with special educational needs (SEN) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting teachers in delivering lessons and creating a positive learning environment
  • Assisting students with SEN and SEMH challenges, including implementing strategies for de-escalation and positive behavioural support
  • Providing one-on-one support to students as needed, including helping with homework and providing additional support in the classroom
  • Assisting in the preparation of educational materials and resources
Requirements:
  • Certification in de-escalation techniques and training in Positive Behavioural Support
  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths, with additional qualifications in Education or Special Education desirable
  • Prior experience working in a school or educational setting, with experience supporting students with SEN and SEMH
