About the Role
We are seeking dynamic, proactive, and enthusiastic Warehouse Operations Leaders to oversee Night shifts. In this pivotal role, you will guide business unit teams in effectively managing and optimizing Ocado's platforms to maximize value for both clients and customers. Your leadership will be crucial to the operational success of the region and enhancing employee satisfaction. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for driving performance and motivating your team to excel in all aspects of site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire large teams in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments.
- Contribute to the development of site and regional strategies.
- Innovate operational processes to enhance customer service and business efficiency.
- Manage team resources effectively, preparing and justifying budgets aligned with anticipated volumes.
- Communicate key business results and continuous improvement initiatives to your team.
- Collaborate with support teams (HR, Planning, Engineering, Facilities, and Safety) to meet operational targets.
- Encourage ongoing training and development to foster talent within your teams.
- Champion continuous improvement processes to enhance customer experiences.
- Adjust performance metrics to drive productivity and quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to food safety protocols to maintain product quality.
- Provide thorough handovers to subsequent managers, detailing operational highlights and potential risks.
About You
You are an excellent communicator with strong numerical skills, both written and verbal. You thrive in KPI-driven environments and can adapt quickly to changing circumstances. Your experience includes leading diverse teams in high-pressure settings, with a passion for developing talent and a proven ability to implement succession planning. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of best practices in Health & Safety are essential. You are results-oriented, with a focus on driving efficiency and process improvements, and possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience in a 24/7 warehouse or logistics environment, familiarity with computerized warehouse management systems, and a track record of managing budgets are highly desirable.
