Branston Locks Primary School, a newly established primary institution, is seeking to recruit two After School Care Practitioners to enhance their wrap-around service, ensuring the well-being of children before and after school hours. These positions are intended to commence on a temporary ongoing basis, with the potential for permanent placement for suitable candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a variety of engaging activities for children aged 3 to 11 throughout the academic year.
  • Recognize and address the individual needs of each child under our supervision.
  • Encourage and motivate children to actively participate in planned activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment that promotes health and safety standards.
  • Assist senior staff in adhering to both statutory and non-statutory policies essential for the effective operation of the service.
  • Prepare nutritious snacks for children.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of all children in our care.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young individuals you interact with.
  • Contribute positively to the overall ethos and objectives of the institution.

Qualifications:

  • GCSE English and Maths (A* – C) or equivalent Adult Literacy & Numeracy Level 2.
  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in child care or youth work.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Other relevant qualifications pertaining to child care.
  • Experience in providing wrap-around care within a primary education setting.
