Warehouse Assistant Job Description

HR GO Recruitment is seeking a motivated and driven Warehouse Assistant to join our client's family-based animal feed manufacturers based in Yeovil. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in the smooth operation of incoming and outgoing deliveries, stock in the warehouse and packaging duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate within health and safety guidelines, legal requirements and Code of Practice for Cross Contamination
  • Supervise bulk delivery vehicle at intake area and carry out inspections
  • Correctly label raw material sample bags and operate weighbridge duties when applicable
  • Reconciliation of pre-ordered bagged dispatches or additions to stock during each shift
  • Product packaging when required using the Press Operator
  • Moving stacked pallets to clean and dry areas of the warehouse
  • Ensure bags are checked and stacked neatly
Requirements:
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred but not required
  • Forklift Licence preferred but training can be provided
  • Previous customer service experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to remain motivated and reliable
  • Previous Lorry Shunting experience would be a plus
