Job Title: Trade Counter Assistant/Driver

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Trade Counter Assistant/Driver. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing trade counter sales, and ensuring the smooth delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage trade counter sales to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
  • Responsible for picking, loading, and delivering products to customers using 5-tonne flatbed trucks and LWB vans
  • Support the Branch Manager with day-to-day branch operations and ensure compliance with Health and Safety, company policies, and procedures
  • Develop and maintain positive customer relationships and support the delivery of sales targets
  • Assist with the delivery of branch operations and maintain branch standards, including warehouse and stock management, front-of-house cleanliness, and point-of-sale
Requirements:
  • A full and valid driving license is essential, and a FLT license could be a distinct advantage
  • Previous branch stock take experience could be a distinct advantage
  • Experience within a similar role ideally in a trade/builders merchant/retail, glazing, or uPVC environment could be a distinct advantage
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and use own initiative
  • Confident IT user, with experience of MS Office and industry-standard software, eg SAP
