About the Role

C2 Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store/Shop Manager to lead our charity retailer's operations in Kensal Rise and Willesden. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maximizing income generation and ensuring all targets are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exercise autonomy in managing the shop, demonstrating strong leadership and independence to navigate the fast-paced and sometimes challenging environment.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and provide ongoing training and support to team members, including the assistant manager, to ensure operational duties are efficiently handled.
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain volunteers to build a high-performing team, promoting diversity and equality within the shop team.
  • Lead by example in providing excellent customer service to shoppers, donors, and volunteers, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere in the shop.
  • Represent the charity brand through the shop, embodying its values and upholding the organization's reputation by maintaining high standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Ensure that all shop operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and cash handling, are conducted efficiently and in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a retail management role, preferably in a charity shop environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • KPI aware and commercially driven and focused.
  • Knowledge of working with Volunteers.
  • Experience and knowledge of gift aid.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion within the workplace.
  • Passion for the mission and values of the charity.
