Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Procurement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and managing a portfolio of commodities, ensuring the highest level of patient care through the provision of best value contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to meet the needs of NHS Scotland
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure effective and ongoing delivery of best value contracts
  • Provide customers with excellent product choice and quality, while contributing to strategic sourcing program targets
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address procurement opportunities and challenges
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management

Requirements:

  • Education to degree level in a relevant business discipline
  • Membership of The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience in strategic sourcing, including strategy development and supplier management
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
