Key Responsibilities- System Support: Provide technical support to our clients, responding to inquiries, troubleshooting system issues, and resolving problems efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, system audits, and preventive maintenance activities to ensure the continuous operation and reliability of control systems.
- Fault Finding and Diagnostics: Identify and analyze complex system faults, utilizing troubleshooting techniques, diagnostic tools, and procedures to resolve issues effectively.
- System Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system modifications, upgrades, and enhancements to improve performance, efficiency, and functionality.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, maintenance activities, troubleshooting procedures, and solutions provided, ensuring comprehensive documentation for future reference.
- Training and Support: Train end-users and support personnel on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control systems, empowering them to handle basic system issues independently.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to control system engineering, and actively contribute ideas for process improvements and innovation within the organization.
- Full UK Driving License
- Previous experience in providing technical support for control systems or similar systems
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in control systems, such as PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text)
- Familiarity with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems and HMI (Human Machine Interface) design
- Familiarity with industry-standard control system protocols, such as Modbus, Profibus, or Ethernet/IP
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical users
- Proven ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
