Position Overview

We are seeking two dedicated individuals to take on the role of Cleaning Services Team Leader, overseeing the management of cleaning and housekeeping operations.

This is a permanent position with variable hours, including shifts that may require weekend and holiday work on a rotational basis.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed candidates who are diligent, driven, and innovative.

The role is challenging, and the successful candidates will possess an NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience, along with a solid understanding of cleaning procedures and supervisory experience.

Successful applicants will be expected to work between the hours of 7 AM and 8 PM, with a flexible approach to meet the demands of the role.

Flexibility to work across various locations within the Facilities Department is essential.

Welsh language skills are preferred for this position; however, applications from both English and Welsh speakers are encouraged.

Qualifications and Knowledge

Essential:

  • Strong educational background
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in cleaning and supervision
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Food Hygiene
  • Understanding of Health & Safety regulations, COSHH, Moving and Handling, and HACCP
  • Proficient IT skills

Desirable:

  • ILM Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading or equivalent
  • Level 2 Food Safety Award
  • Coaching/Training Certificate
  • Supervisory Training
  • IOSH Certificate
  • Knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control

Experience

Essential:

  • Experience in customer service
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in the NHS
  • Supervisory experience in a similar environment
  • Experience in cleaning operations

Skills

Desirable:

  • Welsh language proficiency (Level 1)
