Technical Account Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and career-driven individual to join our team at Dunbia (UK). As a Technical Account Manager, you will play a key role in managing technical liaison with key UK supermarket accounts.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as a key technical contact between Customer Technical and Dunbia Departments, managing information relating to food safety, quality, and legality.
- Manage all relevant raw material, product specifications, and Quality Attribute Sheets for related products.
- Work as part of a customer-facing team with commercial and NPD contacts to develop customer accounts.
- Liaise between all relevant departments within the business to ensure customer requirements are communicated and adhered to.
- Manage and communicate relevant technical KPIs to Dunbia and relevant customers.
- Utilize and control data on relevant customer information management systems.
- Conduct product checks and inspections, and report accordingly to ensure products adhere to customer specifications.
- Deal with non-conformances and work with management to initiate corrective actions.
- Review artwork in advance of product launches to ensure labels are complete, accurate, legal, and meet customer, technical, and operational requirements.
- Liaise with NPD to assist with product presentations to customers/product development approval, production handovers, and product launches.
- Maintain and update relevant retail price lists and communicate such to the business.
- Participate in site Allergen Management Programme to ensure raw materials are in line with customer, Dunbia, and legal requirements.
- Collect and analyze data on relevant key performance indicators, such as customer complaints, store complaints, and sales.
- 2 years of experience working in a related customer-facing technical role in the food industry/food manufacturing.
- A minimum of a HND in a food science, food technology, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the FMCG supply chain/quality assurance and UK retailer industry.
- Experience with HACCP, Allergen Management systems, and food labelling is a definite advantage.
- A proven track record in dealing with the key aspects of the role.
- Excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude.
- Willingness to travel to customer meetings and other sites and retail stores throughout the UK and Ireland.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with major retailers and other internal and external customers.
