Position Overview
As a vital member of a dedicated team, your primary responsibility will be to deliver timely and empathetic assistance to individuals experiencing emotional distress. This role is crucial for those referred by a Level 1 Practitioner within the framework of the National Distress Brief Intervention Programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to referrals within 24 hours, ensuring prompt and compassionate outreach to service users.
- Collaborate with service users to establish a comprehensive Distress Management Plan, addressing their unique needs and identifying effective coping strategies.
- Provide guidance and encouragement to help service users develop essential skills and self-management techniques.
- Utilize a holistic, strength-based approach to support individuals, particularly those facing mental health challenges.
- Maintain accurate and current records of interactions and interventions, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
- Document all relevant activities and communications at the end of each shift to ensure continuity of care.
- Generate case studies and reports as needed to contribute to service evaluation and improvement.
- Foster positive relationships with service users, partners, and colleagues, representing the organization with professionalism and integrity.
- Comply with all organizational policies, particularly regarding Health & Safety, Confidentiality, and Protection of Vulnerable Individuals.
- Achieve defined performance indicators and actively engage in the annual appraisal process.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision to enhance professional development.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support the overall mission of the organization.
