English Teacher Job Description

Step Teachers is collaborating with a Secondary school in Haringey to find an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher for a temporary part-time position. The ideal candidate should be open to flexible working hours and have a passion for influencing and instructing young individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to students.
  • Maintain a well-organized, tidy, and considerate classroom environment.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with students, inspiring good behaviour and a passion for learning.
  • Cooperate with and support colleagues and additional classroom staff.
  • Accurately assess and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Comply with and implement the school's policies and take part in their supportive educational ethos.
Requirements:
  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification.
  • Recent mainstream school-based experience as an English Teacher.
  • A relevant English-related degree is desirable.
  • Experience with KS3-KS4 curriculum.
  • SEN experience is essential.
