Actuary for Longevity and Reinsurance

The Actuary Group is seeking a highly skilled Actuary to join our team. As a leading provider of insurance and savings solutions, we strive to make the life and pensions journey easier and more user-friendly for everyone involved.
We are looking for an Actuary with extensive experience in longevity and reinsurance, as well as strong knowledge of UK Defined Benefit Pensions and reinsurance structures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, in-depth knowledge of capital modelling and profit testing, and considerable experience of mortality analysis and assumption setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead projects related to longevity, assumption setting, longevity risk, and capital models
- Work with the Origination team and pension schemes to design and administer capital efficient solutions that effectively manage risk
- Oversee some of the technical aspects of models and experience analysis - development, implementation, calibration, testing
- Contribute to the risk management function from a BPA perspective
- Ad hoc tasks as required
- Understanding of capital modelling and profit testing
- Experience of mortality analysis and assumption setting
- Strong knowledge of UK Defined Benefit Pensions and reinsurance structures
- Experience of working within the Actuarial Function of a UK Life assurer
