This is a permanent role with immediate openings for qualified candidates.
The establishment is currently looking for an Assistant Kitchen Manager to enhance the existing culinary team.
In this role, you will oversee various kitchen sections, ensuring that all food items are prepared to the highest standards, maintaining cleanliness in your designated area, and coordinating with the Head Chef for necessary orders from suppliers.
A strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations is essential, including proper inventory management and effective food preservation techniques.
While the Head Chef will lead the creative direction of the menus, your input on menu development will be valued and encouraged.
Compensation: £17.50 per hour plus tips, with a minimum commitment of 45 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- High-volume food preparation and production
- Supervising kitchen assistants and porters as needed
- Ensuring seamless communication within the team for efficient service
- Upholding rigorous cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen
- Complying with all health and safety regulations on-site
- Managing stock levels effectively
The ideal candidate will possess 5-6 years of experience in the culinary industry, currently serving as a Sous Chef or aspiring Junior Sous Chef. Experience in a rural hotel environment and cooking at a minimum of two AA rosette level for at least two years is required.
