Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maths Educator to join our team at Shaw Trust. As a Maths Educator, you will be responsible for delivering accredited learning to young people undertaking Maths study programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Maths qualifications to young people at HMYOI Feltham
  • Develop and implement young people-centred teaching, learning, and assessment strategies
  • Follow all processes relating to qualifications and examinations, including registration and submissions to validating bodies
  • Understand and comply with Shaw Trust Safeguarding Policy and related procedures

Requirements

  • Qualified to deliver Maths qualifications
  • Possession of a relevant teaching or training qualification
  • Experience of teaching on and assessing accredited Maths qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience of providing excellent customer service skills
  • An ongoing interest in and knowledge of recent developments in Maths provision

Working Arrangements

This role will be based within Her Majesty's Youth Offenders Institute (HMYOI) Feltham and will require you to work in a prison setting Monday to Friday.
